Byotrol plc, the antimicrobial technology company has appointed food industry expert, Nicky Taylor as a Sales Consultant responsible for identifying new business opportunities for the company.

Having worked in industrial catering and the food factory industry for a number of years, Nicky Taylor has worked with some high profile companies including Smith & Nephew, Birds Eye, Walls, North Sea Ferries and Debenhams.

Most recently Nicky worked as a territory manager for an international food hygiene specialist, where she spent three years managing food factories in the North East region. Commenting on her new role, Nicky Taylor said: "I'm extremely pleased to be working with Byotrol and look forward to using my food industry experience to help identify new business opportunities for the company. My interest in Byotrol began when I was lucky enough to see the effects of Byotrol products in action against a range of food related micro-organisms including the pathogen Listeria and spoilage organisms pseudomonas and moulds. Its broadband effect and residuality combined with its ease and safety in use is a real breakthrough for the food industry.

After seeing the incredible performance of Byotrol for myself I recognised the opportunities for the technology within the food industry and I'm delighted to be part of the sales team helping to drive the business forward.

Byotrol has a range of specialist anti-bacterial treatments for the food industry. The range of products marketed under the Nanosphere brand name is targeted at the food industry to deliver broadband efficacy against a wide range of organisms including E. coli, Legionella and Listeria, as well as MRSA. This wide ranging performance is underpinned by an extremely low toxicity profile to humans when compared to many other antimicrobials on the market and Byotrol's technology continues to act for up to several days after application.

Stephen Falder, Byotrol's Business Development Director adds: "We are delighted to welcome Nicky Taylor to the Byotrol team. Our technology offers food manufacturers a total hygiene control solution that eliminates the need to change products every few months to combat resistance.

Nicky's enthusiasm and passion for Byotrol will be a real asset to the food hygiene specialist team and we look forward to her being a fully fledged member of the company."

Nicky lives in Withernsea with her two children and enjoys keeping fit in her spare time. She is also a trained chef and loves cooking for her family.
